Valentine's Day was celebrated in two parts around our house. Part I involved an all hearts dinner for the kids
complete with candy gifts, balloons and craftsy fun from Grandma Mary and Ms. Carol.
Joey was rather unimpressed with his dinner
and eventually threw his plate on the floor.
These girls enjoyed it, though.
I think that was mostly because they got to eat candy hearts when their dinner was gone.
After the kids were in bed, Joe and I enjoyed a very simple celebration, this year: taquitos (thanks, Maureen!) and Chocolate Cream Pie for dessert.
Simple, but delicious.
After dinner and a few games, we called it a night
concluding that, while simple, it really was a very Happy Valentine's Day.
And the girls all agreed.
