Graduation Day

No too long ago Trisha caught Theia trying to climb out of her crib. Shortly after we held graduation ceremonies. Theia, who was sleeping in the crib in the nursery, graduated to Xandra's room and bed, and Liyah, who was sleeping in the pack n play in the sunroom, graduated to Theia's bedroom and crib. Xandra was demoted to sleeping on the floor in our room for a week while Theia figured out the big gril bed on her own.

Sleeping in the bed went very well once Theia learned to STAY in the bed. The first few nights with the big girl bed we found Theia in the kitchen and our bedroom after lights out. Once we said our goodnights and left to another part of the house, Theia would promptly crawl down from bed, open the door, and go about her business as if it were the middle of the day. Whoever was laughing the least, would return Theia to bed with strict instructions to stay in bed, only to find her a few minutes later out of bed again.

Theia saying her goodbyes to her crib. Actually, she has no idea what is going on, but we took a picture for posterity's sake.

Xandra wanted to get in on the action.

Theia, bear, and blanky getting comfortable in their new surroundings.

And suddenly, the crib seems much larger again.

Rumplewhat?

We've got a bunch of stories and pictures to share in the coming days to catch up from the last several weeks of blogless activity. While I work on getting a few pictures and posts together, here's a little bit from Theia...

We were trying to get her to say NNnnnnnoo! She says it very dramatically and usually when she means yes. We never really got the classic Theia no, but it's still worth a watch, as she debuts her platypus speaking skills.

In a later video in an effort to get Theia to say NNnnnooo! Joe asks Theia if she wants a pony (the animal). Xandra, thinking ponytail, replies, "She can't have a pony. Her hair is too short."
