What a Week

It's been an eventful week at the Pull household, perhaps a bit more than most.

We started the week with a Memorial Day BBQ. Including our family, there were 24 present for fun in the sprinkler, hamburgers, hot dogs, swinging, talking, and general romping through the yard.

Aliyah's favorite part of the evening was the watermelon. She got a little carried away and tried eating the plate.

Our friends, the Holmes, also brought grandma and grandpa who were visiting for the weekend, along for the fun.

Rootbeer floats and cookies rounded out the evening. A fun time was had by all!

Tuesday we stayed home. I finally got busy making some much longed-for skirts for Xandra.

By the end of naptime, she had four new skirts to wear.

As you can see, she was very pleased. Next obstacle: matching shirts.

On Wednesday, we felt recovered enough to leave the house. We ventured to Virginia to meet Jacob (he's just four weeks old). We spent the morning with Jennifer and Jacob and Mrs. Jennifer even treated us to a popsicle after lunch! The trip home was a little lengthy, as I got lost in downtown DC, but we made it home in one piece and ventured off to a Cubbies awards ceremony that evening (more on this later).

On Thursday morning, in an effort to score some free food at Chick-fil-A, we met some friends for lunch. The girls and I arrived early and they played in the play structure for awhile before anyone else joined us. I tried the new Spicy Chicken Sandwich for free. It was good, but boy was it spicy!

I wish I could report the eventful week ended in a restful, quiet Friday. The opposite, is in fact, true. Today was such an adventurous day, it deserves a post all it's own. Look for What a Week, Part II: The Friday Finale, tomorrow.

  2. Cliff hanger! How dare you! :) Whew, I'm tired after reading about your week, I can only imagine what it was like to live through all that busy-ness. The skirts are cute and you are superwoman for sewing them all in one shot. I know Xandra is going to love twirling around in them.
