In Farmer Joe's Garden: Lettuce Help Edition

The green bean harvest has begun. It appears that this will be Farmer Joe's best crop of beans to date!

Not only is the bean harvest plentiful, but the lettuce appears to be growing out of control as well.

The lettuce pictured here is only one half of the lettuce we retrieved from the garden this weekend.

All told, the lettuce filled 8 gallon-sized Ziploc bags.

And we had LOTS of help filling them up.

Surprisingly, Farmer Joe's youngest assistant was the most proficient at filling the bags.

He even caught her on tape:

The pumpkins are making their way onto the roof, there are tomatoes on the vine growing and preparing to ripen, we've feasted on a sour cherry pie from our cherry tree, and eaten a few blueberries from the bushes.

The only area of the garden that seems to be in question is the herb garden. Farmer Joe's chief assistant is unable to determine the difference between weeds and her newly planted herbs. This may prove disastrous. Meanwhile, the bugs are feasting on the leaves of both.
