Anytime you open a book in this house, it doesn't matter who you are, you've got a captive audience. They used to prefer a lap, but now they've moved on to bigger and better things:
camping chairs.
I guess it's a good thing. Ms. Carol's lap was getting pretty crowded to all three of them at once.
Is that "The Monster at the End of This Book?" That is one of the favorite books in the Smyth home these days.
