Hindsight

2014

When Xandra was a baby, I cut one of the straps out of this highchair.  "We didn't need them anyway," I thought.  "Why do they even put them in there?  The guard on the bottom of the tray keeps the kids from falling out.  How silly."

And then we had Joey, who perfected the art of standing in the highchair.

And now we have Isaiah,

who not only stands, but dances.
And now I understand the need for straps.  Too bad I cut them out 8 years ago.  They sure would be handy right now.  If only my foresight were as keen as my hindsight.
