Practice Makes Perfect Prep

Each year at Thanksgiving, we have a list of important Thanksgiving Day preparations and each year the kids get a little bit more independent in their work.

First, table centerpieces.

This year they were in the shape of boats,

with each person's name carefully printed on it,

and then filled with candy.

Next up:  Pilgrim hats.

Fudge stripe cookies

carefully arranged on a cookie sheet,

topped with a chocolate covered

marshmalloow.

Sneaking a taste of the feast to come is the best part of Thanksgiving preparations.

Tikvah agrees.

Stolen Pilgrim Hats always taste better.

Especially when you're too young to get any legitimately.

She's just getting ready for Thanksgiving 2015 when she'll actually be old enough for Pilgrim Hats.  Practice makes perfect.
