We had the privilege of being in Lincoln at Grandma DeShon's house for Halloween this year. That meant we got to trick or treat with cousin Nick, Grandma DeShon and a hotdog. I tried and tried to convince the kids to be ketchup, mustard and relish, but they wouldn't go for it. The pull (pun intended) of the superhero within was just too strong.
The hotdog and more experienced superheros zoomed ahead of those of us who prefer a more relaxed pace.
In the end it was the same as every other Halloween:
1. Complete exhaustion. Read: kids uncontrollably crying at the end of the night.
2. Candy until Christmas.
