Xandra was surprised and excited to see her cake.
It was, of course, a red boxcar,
just like the Boxcar Children,
with a few bits of pink
and sparkle thrown in for good measure,
and a butterfly, always a butterfly.
We quickly lit the candles
and sang a birthday song.
and had cake FIRST (as in, before dinner)! No more risk of it being stolen!
After cake, we opened presents.
Our freinds, the Gonsers (Katelyn above) joined us for the fun day, too.
After convincing Xandra she could read her books later, this is a hard thing to convince her of, we headed outside for some more Boxcar fun.
