One More

After spending almost ten days in North Dakota it was time to say goodbye to Beth.  We were just  piling out of the car at the airport when the airline called to report that her flight had been delayed.  We happily piled back in the car, with Beth in tow, and headed to McDowell Dam for the afternoon while Beth's parents and the airlines sorted out a new itinerary for her.  While we played in the water,

 

 

watched some fisherman on the docks,

 

played at the playground,

 

and then ate our lunch, they decided that the best arrangement was for her to stay an additional day.  Their disappointment in not getting to see her that day was our joy in getting to enjoy her for one more day.  We celebrated the good news with ice cream and headed home to enjoy one more day with our good friend Beth.
