Up & Down & All Over

At 6 1/2 months, he's up,

he's down

he's hungry,

he's happy,

he's curious,

he's finding new things,

and he's crawling

all over.

Scuppies

Scuppies.

Grandpa Tim's word for footed pajamas.

He loves 'em

almost as much as the kids do.

So, naturally, we had a scuppie party,

where everyone donned their scuppies before bed

and we celebrated

SCUPPIES!

Seven

Happy 7th Birthday,

my owl-loving, joy-exuding, lego building,

blue eyed, sweet spirited, baby-loving,

beautiful, platypus girl.

Our life is better, our home happier, and our laughter bigger because you're here.

A Good Catch

Xandra caught him.

She was very proud of her catch.

I think he's a good catch, too.

Sugary Christmas Wonders

It's a yearly tradition:

graham cracker houses on Christmas Eve

Theia & Aliyah
to keep the kids of all ages busy

Beth, Laney, Kiyah, Josh, Liam
so they don't pester about present opening.

The transition is beginning:

the big kids (aka adults)

are starting to phase out

and the little kids (aka kids)

are starting

Lucy & Laura

to phase into building and decorating

these sugary,

Evie

Christmas wonders.

Cora
In a few years

they won't need our help

at all.

Halftime

We did this same thing once with Xandra.

Set her on the table in the middle of a card game,

and she took off and I pulled her back and she took off and I pulled her back.

Now Isaiah is the Halftime entertainment.
Or maybe he's the scoring judge.  You never can be too careful when Uncle Ryan's keeping score.

Another Present

Sometimes at Grandma Mary & Grandpa Tim's house, the adults just sit around.

The kids have no problem getting the party started with out them.

They know that once the party starts,

the presents can be opened.

And opened.

And opened.

And opened.

Until they can't take another present.
